The very first TwinFilm office was actually established back in 1991 when it was almost mandatory for every student at the Munich Film School to have his own film production. Founder Andreas Habermeyer produced at these days short films and student films. In 1997 the twin brother Thomas Habermeyer joined the TwinFilm.

The TwinFilm grew and luxuriate, and the Munich twins got sisters: Partner offices in Dusseldorf and Hamburg.

Since 2002, the TwinFilm is expanding continuously abroad.
